Connecting an iPhone to an Email Inbox

This article assumes that you have already added an email inbox with ParishPal. These instructions are accurate as of September 13, 2018, but may change if Apple modifies its iPhone software.

Step 1: Navigate To The Add Account Area In Your iPhone Settings

iPhone Settings Icon

Find and tap on your iPhone's Settings icon, then scroll down the list of options until you come across the Mail, Contacts, Calendars option. Tap it.

Under Accounts, tap the Add Account option at the bottom of the list, then select Other, then select Add Mail Account.

Step 2: Enter Your Information

Enter your full name, email and password, then give the email address a quick description (eg. "Church Email"). Once this is done, tap Next (in the top-right corner of the screen).

Incoming/Outgoing Server Information

This will take you to a longer version of the form, which includes two new sections: Incoming Mail Server, and Outgoing Mail Server.

Use the following information for both Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server:

Host Name: mail.parishpal.com
User Name: The email address you want to set up (e.g. - "bob@examplechurch.com")
Password: The password for the email address

One you have filled in this information, tap Next (in the top-right corner of the screen).

You may, at some point, receive an alert saying that the identity of mail.parishpal.com can not be verified. You can safely disregard this message - mail.parishpal.com is one of our servers.

On the next screen, make sure that Mail is switched to "on" (the toggle shows green for "on", and gray for "off"), then tap Save (in the top-right corner of the screen).
